Graduation and Next Steps

So it has finally happened. the slow burn of completing grad school has culminated into a weekend’s festivities of Shreveport’s Bed and Breakfast stays, LSU Shreveport visits, Shreveport Restaurant Week, Walking across the stage hearing cheers from family and friends and a weekend soiree of well wishers and loved ones.

This has been the slowest of completions. Turning in the final exam in early March receiving the email of graduation notification March 14, receiving my diploma in the mail 5 weeks later. Getting my regalia and learning that the festive color of Business is, indeed, drab, no, the color is literally named drab.

Then May 12, 2023, I walked the stage with a few hundred other graduates in no particular order. We were paraded across the stage diploma covers in hand and we second-lined our ways out of the room auditorium.
